Job Description
About the role
Help develop the analytical methods behind next-generation mRNA products. In this hands-on laboratory role, you’ll use your HPLC expertise to generate high-quality data, solve analytical challenges and support method transfer to QC and GMP laboratories.
You’ll join a fast-paced team of scientists with a strong scientific background, working hands-on to develop and characterize mRNA products.
What you’ll do
* Perform laboratory analyses to support mRNA product development and characterization.
* Use HPLC to generate reliable data and investigate analytical challenges.
* Contribute to method transfer to QC and GMP laboratories.
* Analyze and communicate results to project teams.
* Prepare clear, accurate and traceable technical documentation.
* Collaborate with colleagues across analytical development, process development, QC and manufacturing.
What you’ll bring
* A PhD in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences or a related discipline, or relevant hands-on experience in an analytical laboratory, including a QC environment.
* Practical HPLC experience with macromolecules is required. You should be confident operating the instrument independently, preparing samples, and following and applying written protocols.
* Experience with capillary gel electrophoresis (CGE) and/or liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) is an advantage.
* Experience in analytical method development is desirable.
* Fluency in Italian and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
* Strong attention to detail, sound documentation habits and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice to have
* Experience supporting mRNA, nucleic acid or other biomacromolecule development.
* Familiarity with GLP or GMP environments.
* Experience with additional analytical techniques such as DLS, ELISA and fluorometric method for nucleic acids quantification.
* Experience preparing technical protocols, reports, SOPs or work instructions.
Interested in applying your analytical skills to mRNA development? We’d be glad to hear from you.
