Warehouse Operations Support Associate
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Arrow Electronics is seeking energetic and enthusiastic Warehouse Operations Support Associates to join our fast-paced electronics distribution center. As a Warehouse Operations Support Associate, you will play a key role in the effective handling and processing of electronic component customer orders. You will work within a dynamic team to achieve the quality, efficiency, and service goals of the Primary Distribution Center.
Key Responsibilities
* Support all departments, including receiving, storing, inventory, shipping, dispatch, and picking.
* Assist with inventory management and fill in as needed.
* Help with scheduling trucks and uploading orders to third-party partners.
* Provide support with ongoing team training and assist in the implementation of new processes and changes.
* Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to contribute to department-wide production & quality goals
* Identify areas for improvement and participate in process improvement initiatives.
* Mentor and assist co-workers in developing their skills and identifying areas for improvement.
What We Are Looking For
* Proficiency in safely operating facility material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, Box Truck, and pallet/wrapping equipment).
* Ability to perform end-user computer functions, including data entry and interpreting information from warehouse systems (e.g., RF units, computer terminals).
* Demonstrated ability to train and certify new hires and employees in all warehouse functions, including equipment operation.
* Effective support in scheduling trucks.
* This position involves standing and or walking for considerable lengths of time. Consistently bending to floor level and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) is required
* Must have strong attention to detail
* Proficient Reading, writing, and understanding of English language
