Senior Salesforce Engineer & Administrator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Salesforce Engineer & Administrator based in Mexico.

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce professional to take full technical ownership of a highly customized CRM environment within a growing financial services organization. In this individual contributor role, you will oversee Salesforce architecture, development, administration, integrations, automation, and data governance. You will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, improving business processes, and delivering reliable reporting and analytics to support strategic decisions. Working closely with senior leadership, internal teams, data specialists, and external vendors, you will translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. You will also help shape the platform's evolution by introducing AI-powered workflows and intelligent automation. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on engineering expertise, independent ownership, and innovation in a fully remote international environment.

Accountabilities:

Salesforce Administration and Data Governance: Take ownership of the Salesforce platform, maintaining accurate and reliable data throughout the lead lifecycle. Establish data standards, manage deduplication, resolve data integrity issues, and oversee record ownership, user onboarding and deactivation, permissions, profiles, and access controls.
Development and Customization: Maintain, troubleshoot, and extend existing Salesforce customizations, including Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex controller classes, and Apex triggers. Build scalable Sales Cloud solutions using Flows, custom objects, and appropriate data models.
Deployment and Release Management: Manage development and deployment processes using VS Code and Salesforce CLI, ensuring reliable releases and maintaining platform stability.
Reporting and Business Intelligence: Develop and maintain custom reports, executive dashboards, KPI tracking, sales pipeline visibility, and advisor transition forecasting tools to support business performance monitoring and decision-making.
Internal Technical Support: Serve as the primary Salesforce technical resource for employees, gathering business requirements, prioritizing requests, troubleshooting issues, and providing user training and guidance.
Technical Documentation: Document existing code, data sources, calculated fields, manual inputs, and business rules. Maintain technical guides, standard operating procedures, recorded walkthroughs, and a structured knowledge library to support employees and AI tools in interpreting Salesforce data.
Systems Integration: Maintain and improve integrations between Salesforce and external platforms, including MuleSoft, QuickBooks, and DocuSign. Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot errors, and ensure reliable data exchange.
Lead Generation Integration: Design and implement integrations to capture, categorize, and route leads generated through Facebook and Instagram directly into Salesforce.
AI-Powered Automation: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through AI-driven workflows. Develop solutions using Claude or other Large Language Models (LLMs), integrating them with Salesforce data while maintaining appropriate privacy and security standards. Evaluate Salesforce Agentforce and other AI capabilities where they provide business value.
Platform Strategy and Collaboration: Own Salesforce configuration, objects, fields, validation rules, security, and ongoing platform improvements. Collaborate with senior leadership on the CRM roadmap and coordinate with external vendors when necessary.

Experience designing, developing, and maintaining integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware solutions, and native connectors.
Strong expertise in building complex custom reports, executive dashboards, and business performance metrics.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.
Interest and willingness to develop LLM-powered workflows using Salesforce data, with sound judgment regarding data privacy, security, and responsible AI implementation.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional remote working environment.
Availability to collaborate during U.S. Eastern business hours, with core working-hour overlap between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM ET. Occasional schedule adjustments of up to two hours earlier or later may be required.
