OVERVIEW
Responsible for dispatching company and third-party trucking as well as fielding calls from customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Coordinate freight movements.
* Dispatch and assign drivers/carrier for customer service through the use of the OTM system and Samsara.
* Provide quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
* Effectively communicate with yard managers to access their transportation/dispatch needs.
* Ability to organize and make decisions.
* Investigate accidents when necessary.
* All other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Excellent attendance record.
* Experience in dispatch or the transportation field is preferred, but not required.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with other departments and all levels of employees.
* Must represent the company at all times in a positive and professional manner to enhance the company’s image with employees, leadership and the public.
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate effective time management skills.
* Strong keyboarding skills.
* Strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel.
* Knowledge of Federal and State DOT regulations.
* Knowledge of IFTA and reporting procedures.
* Ability to make quick decisions in an ever changing fast paced work environment.
