OVERVIEW
Provides electrical engineering, technical, and process engineering support for facility and melting operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Reviews engineering logs, production performance, and data to troubleshoot operational questions and problems.
* Provides electrical and automation repairs and improvements.
* Design level understanding of Low, Medium, and High Voltage control and distribution.
* Responsible for documentation such as print updates, procedures, maintenance reports, etc.
* Makes improvements by modifying automation, electrical and mechanical systems as well as recommending changes to the process.
* Provides engineering design, changes, implementation, and capital projects.
* Act as a technical resource for operators regarding operation and functionality of equipment.
* Plan and execute maintenance down periods.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
* Strong project management skills
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
* Good understanding of closed loop control systems
* Maintenance experience preferred · Proficient in automation, AC drives, process controls, Siemens PLCs and software is a plus.
* Ability to prioritize multiple projects to ensure timeliness.
