This job executes detailed audits and collection and enforcement activities on the highest-risk businesses across multiple industries to ensure compliance with provincial tax legislation. The role develops, plans and implements innovative risk-management and tax compliance strategies in a time-sensitive manner. This job is responsible for identifying, analyzing and verifying financial records, preparing internal and client-facing worksheets, reports, summaries and tax assessments, recommending and initiating collection activities and legal actions, negotiating agreements, communicating verbally and in writing about tax assessments and collection activities to tax clients and their representatives, and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
